In A Nutshell
Little Feast is the younger sibling of the Feast street food festival, which takes unused and unloved spaces and turns them into vibrant, bustling markets complete with street food traders, bars, gardens and music. After the success of Feast, Little Feast was launched in Shepherd’s Bush market, where it welcomes many smaller, lesser-known food brands into London’s thriving street food scene.
This year (2016) Little Feast opens it doors on Wednesday 1 June at Shepherd’s Bush Yard on Goldhawk Road. The street food extravaganza will run until 21 August, and will showcase some of London’s finest food, from juicy burgers and Latin-American inspired grub to the decadent treats of the Marshmallowist of London. And all this in an English walled garden setting.
about the market
Little Feast is unlike any other London market for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Little Feast is not in operation all year round. Instead, it enjoys a six week summer residency, during which time hungry locals and tourists can enjoy delicious food against a backdrop of climbing evergreens, lush greens and hopefully plenty of blue sky. The other difference is the market’s location, pioneering street food in the West of London and bringing the best of East London to Shepherd’s Bush.
Green Goat Food takes customers on a very British street food journey, selling fresh, sustainable street food of the kind of quality you’d expect to find in a high class restaurant. Menu highlights include Cornish fish, mackerel, chorizo burgers and glazed Pollock with dhal, although you will have to wait to see what’s available on the day. Just keep your eyes peeled for their distinctive green van.
The Cheeky Burger Company is the brainchild of husband and wife team Sebastien, a classically trained French chef, and Marta, "who is a HUGE burger addict!" It was Marta’s unquenchable cravings for burgers while pregnant that led to the birth of Cheeky Burger. According to Marta: "Sebastien being a great husband came up with a recipe to satisfy my cravings and the burger was so good we decided to bring Cheeky Burger to the people of London!".
The quality of the burgers is unrivalled, with everything from homemade ketchup to the now famous bacon and Jack Daniels jam. The signature dish, the Cheeky Bacon, takes 8 hours of intensive cooking. You can then wash all that down with something cold from the Arch bar, which serves beers and cocktails all summer long.
